Schilling was on the Whispering Ridge sales list several times and I wanted her in the WORST way, but the timing just wasn't right. I had video of her that I watched quite frequently, knowing she was THE mare I needed to cross with my Section B stallion, Phantom Bronze Knight. I looked at many other mares and fillies as well, but couldn't get visions of Schilling's trot out of mind. In June of 2007, she was back on the sales list and I was finally able to make it work! She arrived in Minnesota on July 1, 2007. Schilling has produced two amazing Phantom Bronze Knight foals for me. Her 2013 colt, Galore's Bronze Cupid, is being retained as our future herd sire. This left me with a very difficult decision. What do I do with Schilling and her 2010 filly, Galore's Electra? After much thought, I decided to retain Galore's Electra as an outcross for my breeding program and offer Schilling for sale. Schilling has a very laid back attitude...not pushy or spooky in any way. She is good for the vet and farrier. Her teeth were floated this spring. She is easy to clip and stands reasonably well for mane pulling. She loads in the trailer easily and hauls well. Schilling is comfortable wearing a saddle and bridle. Adding a rider was no big deal for her. She has currently been backed 3 times. Schilling could have a brilliant performance career or continue her broodmare duties. |
