16 Things To Know About Danielle Bregoli, The "Bhad Bhabie" Rapper and “Cash Me Outside” Girl (2024)

Danielle Bregoli shot to fame after appearing on an episode of Dr Phil about unruly kids in September 2016. During her time on the show, she challenged various audience members to "catch me outside, how about that?" — aka, inviting them to fight her. Because of Danielle's accent, it sounded like, "cash me outside, howbow dah?" and the clip quickly went viral, shooting her to internet fame.

Now, she's a gold plaque-awarded rapper—the youngest female to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, no less— signed with Atlantic Records, and goes by the name "Bhad Bhabie" (pronounced "bad baby") Here's everything you need to know about her.

1. She's only 15 years old. She was just 13 when she was on Dr. Phil, but celebrated her 15th birthday on March 27th. Here she is eating her cake off her gold plaque for her single "Hi Bich":

2. She's from Boynton Beach, Florida. In a feature from the Palm Beach Post, it was revealed that Danielle was once a "sweet little girl" who helped her mom, Barbara Ann, through breast cancer treatment. The journey was chronicled in the paper:

Danielle helped care for her mom. She rubbed aloe on her chest to soothe the pain from radiation. On nights when Barbara was vomiting in the bathroom, Danielle was there to hold her hair and rub her back. In this Boynton Beach house, this woman and this mature little girl rely on each other.

3. She spent months at Turn-About Ranch after her first stint on Dr. Phil. The mental health facility in Utah is specifically for troubled adolescents. Here she cared for a horse named Chief. As seen in a video, she seemed to get along well with her mentors, and even said, "I just feel okay with who I am now. I don't have to put up a front to impress anyone."

4. Then she went back on Dr. Phil for a second time. Things were going smoothly while she was describing her progress during the program, and talking about people reaching out to her about bullying. But then...

5. She lives in Los Angeles now. Danielle made her big move in 2017, after her managers Adam Kluger and Adam Roof thought it was the best for her and her career.

6. She's got a big rap game. Not only has Bhad Bhabie made it to the Billboard Hot 100 and bagged gold status for her single "Hi Bish," she's also got singles with rap giants like Lil Yachty and Ty Dolla $ign.

When she signed with Atlantic Records, the label's global vice president described her as "a real star with undeniable talent."

7. She loves to make YouTube videos. Aside from her music videos, Bhad Bhabie's maintains a popular vlog. Her videos aren't necessarily the ~nicest~ but what did you expect? These days she's mostly reacting to reactions to her MVs, but here's one where she's roasting the 2017 Met Gala:

8. She's apparently charging five-figures for meet-and-greets with her fans. At least, that's what TMZ is reporting — Danielle wants $30,000 per appearance, and $40,000 if she has to leave the country.

9. She gets her nails done twice a week. The New York Times reports that the rapper—who wears "superlong acrylic nails"—and her personal bodyguard Frank Dellato spend "a lot of time in the salon." She told Complex that she "doesn't feel like herself when her nails are short." Just look at those claws!

10. She was once kicked off a Spirit Airlines flight with her mom, Barbara Ann. They were boarding a Spirit Airlines flight on February, 2017 when Barbara Ann got into a fight with another passenger. Danielle said the other passenger went to put a hand on her mom, and so she punched her. Danielle, Barbara Ann, and the other woman are banned from Spirit Airlines for life. There's video of the incident, of course:

11. She was once cited for marijuana possession. Sources told TMZ back in May 2017 that she was hanging out by a friend's house in her hometown. Her friend reportedly pulled out a joint then "cops rolled by, saw the girls and made their move." The sources said that Danielle insisted she wasn't smoking the weed.

12. She threatened to sue WalMart over "cash me outside, howbow dah" shirts.

She's so displeased, in fact, that she her legal team sent WalMart a letter demanding it pull all 15 items of clothing within the next 5 days.

13. But she's not allowed to say "Cash me ousside" anymore either. “She’s not allowed to say ‘cash me outside,’ ” her manager Adam Kluger told the Times. “No one on my team is allowed to use those words ever.” This is an effort to rebrand her as Bhad Bharbie.

14. She's probably going to have her own TV show. Last year, Danielle put off offers for a TV show to pursue her musical career. But in April, TMZ reported that she'd signed a deal with production company Invent TV for a docu-series.

15. Because she's just finished touring. The rapper now has a big enough following to tour not only in North America, but also in Europe. During her performance in Amsterdam, an overzealous fan crashed the stage. Luckily, her bodyguard was there.

16. But she doesn't need to be famous. She told Complex in an interview in May, “Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for everything, but I don’t wanna make it seem like I wouldn’t be able to survive without fame. ‘Cause I did it for 13 years.” What she has planned next? She said, “My goals for the next part of my life: Whatever I’m handed, I’m gonna make the most of it. If it’s good for me, I’m gonna take it”
