Synopsis
Each year, over 10,000 people in America are killed with firearms. Approximately 2,000 more are stabbed to death. Americans...they have no imagination.
Three American college students studying abroad are lured to a Slovakian hostel, and discover the grim reality behind it.

Oh hey, remember when Eli Roth made a feminist horror film with a smart, relatable and QUEER final girl and no one talks about it because they write it off as a cheap, torture-porn cash-grab? This movie is great, y’all.

I accidentally woke up at 4 am and lil old groggy and confused me was so fucking out of it that she trotted over to her Blu-Ray shelf and popped Hostel Part II in. Honestly both hostel and hostel part ii are jokes but they're not funny Like why the fuck are so many people calling this movie hilarious Do you hate women? R u Herculeus? (Hahaha) this film automatically fails in comparison to hostel because it doesn't have the king of the swing (Oli) like hostel part ii is sad when the first one is just bro down party time bush administration Iraq war symbolism. I also think it's really shitty for elite Huntings brand to actively use dogs…

Really dig how this widens the lens of the first film's A Most Dangerous Game funneled through Abu Ghraib images by a Eurohorror and exploitation gorehound to account for our knowledge of the process now. The victims and clients are now traced as equal participants in the structure because it should no longer be a shock that these women are meat for an industry (the literal snuff one in the film as well as the metatextual one we are complicit spectators in that my friend mike thorn notes in his excellent piece) or that wealth and leisure can only exist due to the extreme suffering of others, and boy if Eli Roth knows how to do anything it's depict the…

Now that's an independent woman.🍆✂️🐕🦺
To all the half-arsed directors who love to empower women at the cost of a shitty script or by dissing the original like shameless turds, this is how you make a real women-centric flick with a similar theme with not just an equally good storyline but better in some aspects.
The movie starts right where we left but with not so happy of an ending for our chap from the original but passing the ball further with a similar starting point but with an all-female cast on a vacation in Europe! This movie has all the things the first one did but with a little less horny cast and your similar but better tasting gory…

Todd: "Sometimes, you meet a guy and there's just something fucking scary about him. Something that makes you think this guy has killed somebody. He doesn't have to act tough. He never has to say it. But like an animal, you can sense it. You know that this guy's got the balls to do what few others can. And that's you after today, my friend. People are gonna fucking fear you. Linda is gonna fucking fear you. What we do today is gonna pay off every day for the rest of our lives."
Most horror sequels are entertaining but completely unnecessary. Hostel 2 justifies its existence by elaborating on things…
