Flying Colors Dark of the Moon is the foundation of the Ponies Galore! breeding program. Shadow comes straight from Anne Bayless'
Seamair bloodlines. She is a granddaughter of Seamair Eclipse, Seamair Sporting Chance, Seamair Faun, and Seamair Golden
. Three of these ponies, Eclipse, Sporting Chance and Golden Gamble are all out of *Kirby Cane Gamble. Mrs. Bayless is
said to have purchased a herd of nine ponies just to attain Gamble. This influential mare lived to a ripe old age on Catalina Island after her
breeding career, where she was used for Pony Club and Lead Line.

Seamair Faun, Shadow's only grandparent not out of Gamble, was sired by Seamair Crusader and out of Seamair Valentina.
Crusader and Valentina were sired by Mrs. Bayless' pride and joy,
Criban Button B. Button B put Seamair in the winner's circle many
times. In 1962 through 1964, he was the Champion at the California State Fair, in addition to his foals winning the Get of Sire and
Produce of Dam classes. Button B was gelded at 23 and became a children's pony. Crusader was out of
Stoatley Edelweiss, whom
Mrs. Bayless purchased from Olive and Jill Whiting as one of her foundation mares. Edelweiss had been imported by the Whiting's in
1954. Valentina was out of
Cwmnantgwyn Pearl, one of five ponies Mrs. Bayless imported herself.

Seamair Faun produced only one foal, Fauns Baby Girl, who is Shadow's dam. Fauns Baby Girl, nicknamed "Pony Galore" or "PG,"
produced many exceptional foals for Flying Colors Farm besides Shadow:
Flying Colors Blaze of Glory, Flying Colors Star of the
East, Flying Colors King of the Wind
(sire of Galore's Des Colores), Flying Colors Star O' the North (dam of our Flying Colors
Rainbow Trail
and Galore's Blazing Star) and Flying Colors Silver Charm.

Seamair bloodlines still exist today, mainly in California, but also in Mississippi and of course Minnesota, under prefixes such as
Chaparral, Tri-Ef, Shamrock, Cuesta, Flying Colors, Obispo and Galore's.

Shadow, now retired, had five foals for me from 1999 to 2004. The first is 1999 Half Welsh colt
Galore's First Edition by the Arabian
Road Warrior. Eddy could be considered the epitome of beginner's luck. He is exactly what I hope to produce every time I
breed a mare. Eddy has the Welsh type, temperament, conformation, and breathtaking movement I want my breeding program to be
known for. Eddy produced three foals for me before he was gelded in 2005. The 2003 gelding,
Galore's Wicked Trickster, was born
on the East Coast and is showing on the Hunter circuit. I have retained both of the fillies
Galore's Sweet SeaCret and Galore's Easy
, for my breeding program. More on them later. Eddy has been very successful in the show ring, earning several Grand
Championships and a 2003 WPCSA National Top Five in Half Welsh stallions and mares 3 & over. Since being gelded, I have been
focusing on Eddy's performance goals.

Shadow was bred to
Road Warrior again for 2000. Multi-Grand Champion Half Welsh gelding Galore's Second To None closely
resembles what you think of when you think "Hunter pony." He is extremely elegant and has the flat-kneed movement, round jump,
outstanding work ethic and laid back temperament desired by the Hunter market. Bugsy has a bright future ahead of him on the "A" circuit.

For 2001, Shadow was bred to my multi-Supreme Champion Section A stallion
Galore's Splash of Flash. The resulting foal, my first
purebred and first filly, is the Section B mare
Galore's Three Cheers. Cheers is a carbon copy of Shadow. She now resides at
Starrpony Farms in Melbourne, Florida, as their foundation mare. Cheers has begun her under saddle training and is now pastured with
Connemara/Arabian stallion
Skye. I regret selling Cheers, but know she has a fantastic home.

Shadow was bred to Section B stallion
Rosmels Texas Twister for 2001. Galore's Unfourgettable is another carbon copy of
Shadow, but with more height from great-grandsires
GlanNant Tango and Seamair Eclipse. Windee has more than ample bone and
substance, combined with a lovely head and neck and outstanding movement and temperament that instantly won my heart. Windee now
resides in Honea Path, South Carolina, at Shady Grove Welsh.

In 2004, Shadow produced her fifteenth and final foal, the Section B filly
Galore's Fifth Avenue, by Supreme Champion Section B
*Casnewydd Little Joe. Missy was by far Shadow's favorite baby and she knew it. Missy exudes attitude and has done very
well in her three show ring appearances. More importantly, Missy has caught the eye of three prominent Welsh breeders and judges -
Marsha Himler, Cherry Wilson and Susan Stepney, though none of them have met Missy in the show ring. Missy produced her first foal in
2008 by my Section B stallion
Phantom Bronze Knight. Galore's Talladega Knight has been retained to replace his sire in my
breeding program. Missy will be trained to ride and drive and will be shown as her broodmare duties permit.

To further solidify Shadow's influence in all facets of my breeding program, I have retained three of her grandchildren as well.
Sweet SeaCret
, the daughter of multi-Grand Champion Half Welsh stallion Galore's First Edition, has her sire's wonderful
temperament, conformation, and movement, not to mention his breathtaking elegance. Secret's dam is my exquisite Half Welsh mare
, who is a granddaughter of Seamair Sporting Chance. Secret will eventually be bred to Galore's Splash of Flash and Phantom
Bronze Knight
to produce spectacular sport ponies. Galore's Easy Lover, out of Young's Kwik N Easy, is almost an exact duplicate
of her sire. I have plans to get Lovey out on the Welsh and open circuits in performance. She will be the one to beat!
Galore's Talladega
is slated to be my junior Section B sire. Not only does he have a fabulous "old" Section B pedigree, he has the temperament and
talent to be a star at whatever I ask of him. He will be shown and promoted the way his sire never was...

Lady June came to Ponies Galore! in April of 1999. Jewel was sired by Flying Colors Yankee Clipper, making her a granddaughter of
Seamair Sporting Chance. Her dam was the classically bred Arab mare Princess Gayla. Jewel produced four simply outstanding Half
Welsh fillies for me before being retired due to Cushing's disease.
Galore's Sea of Roses, by Galore's Splash of Flash, is pursuing a
career as a lease, lead line and game pony for me.
Galore's Sweet SeaCret (by Galore's First Edition), Galore's PhantaSea and
Galore's Sea Breeze (both by Phantom Bronze Knight) will be inspected by the American Warmblood Society and pursue
performance careers before retiring to my broodmare band.

In addition to my breeding stock, there are a number of wonderful geldings I must mention here as well. The first is
Galore's Goin' Solo.
Solo started it all! He was my first Welsh pony, purchased on August 6, 1997. Solo is sired by
Flying Colors Stars N Stripes, who was
sired by
Chance's Golden Opportunity, making him a half-brother to Shadow. Solo's dam is Flying Colors Prairie Star, Shadow's
1990 daughter by
Flying Colors Yankee Clipper. Solo was so easy to be around and to train, I was forever hooked on Welsh. He was
also the first pony I sold...I cried for two days! Solo is now owned by Sarah and Amanda Stubbs and is quickly becoming a Dressage
star. I love getting updates from Sarah on this special boy!

Galore's Blazing Star was my second pick on August 6, 1997. Star is also sired by Flying Colors Stars N Stripes and is out of
Shadow's full sister
Flying Colors Star O' the North. He was a darling little dappled grey, with huge eyes and the tiniest ears I'd ever
seen. Clearly every girl's dream pony...and then I brought him home and got to know him. He is definitely one of the smartest Welsh I've
come across yet. As long as he realizes he isn't in charge, he's a sweet, easy-going guy. If left to his own devices, Star uses his
adorableness against you and his intelligence for general pony evil-doing. He is loved dearly for the amusement he gives and is a permanent
fixture at Ponies Galore!

The third pony I bought that fateful day in 1997 was
Galore's Des Colores. Stormy was a naughty little yearling boy, just recently
gelded. Judging by his behavior, he should have gone home with someone else, but his movement was so fantastic I couldn't resist. Stormy
is sired by Shadow's full brother
Flying Colors King of the Wind and also out of Shadow's daughter Flying Colors Prairie Star.
Stormy matured into the most wonderfully tempered pony and kept his fabulous athleticism. My farrier bonded with Stormy and bought
him. When he became too busy to enjoy his pony, I was asked to find Stormy the perfect new home. He currently resides in Stillwater,
Minnesota with his two little girls.

In November of 1997,
Flying Colors Stars N Stripes joined the Ponies Galore! herd, along with Shadow. I heard Sparky was slated to
go to an auction in Iowa, so because he was Solo and Star's sire, I bought him. He had already been a gelding for a while so we started
him under saddle. He was used for lead line pony rides and beginner lessons, in addition to weanling "life skills" lessons while at Ponies
Galore! Sparky is now owned and dearly loved by the Hallgren Family in Massachusetts. He even gets to see his son Solo every once in a
while as he lives in Massachusetts too!

In April of 2003,
Flying Colors Rainbow Trail joined the herd under sales consignment from Deb Mertens. Boo Boo was also sired by
Flying Colors Yankee Clipper and is out of Flying Colors Star O' the North, making him a half brother to Star and Jewel. Boo Boo
immediately won me over with his quiet demeanor and huge heart. In fact, I liked him so much, I bought him myself. His consistent show
ring performances and National rankings have made me very proud. Boo Boo is my trail riding partner and will remain with me till the end
of his days.
Nothing draws a crowd like pretty girls!

Supreme Champion
Madoc Pippi Longstocking joined the Ponies Galore! herd in September of 2000, at 6
months old. I purchased her over the Internet on her pedigree alone as a mate for Supreme Champion Section A
Galore's Splash of Flash. She comes from Dandardel and Friars lines. Her Friars' influence is absolutely
unmistakable. She has lovely Welsh type and conformation, not to mention the biggest trot you will ever see from
a little pony. Pippi has done extremely well in the show ring thus far with minimal exposure. Pippi was bred to
Splash for 2006. The result is the fantastic Section A gelding
Galore's Panache, my first Section A foal. Pippi will
eventually return to the show ring in halter and performance as her broodmare duties permit.

Young's Kwik N Easy came to Ponies Galore! in April of 2002, in foal to Asgard Argentina. The resulting foal is
the Grand Champion Galore's Easy To Please. Dylan is HUGE at almost 14.2 hands, yet retains lots of pony type
and character. Several full and half siblings remain in Canada as Champion producers, Hunters and Sport ponies.
Jenny's second foal for me, by
Phantom Bronze Knight, is Galore's Easy To Spot. Slick was purchased as a
yearling by an 11 year old boy as his future roping pony. The third foal, and Jenny's second filly ever, is the
super-sweet and athletic
Galore's Easy Lover, by Galore's First Edition. Lovey has been retained as one of my
personal riding ponies and future broodmare. The fourth foal, the to-die-for Section B filly
Galore's Easy On The
, by Galore's Splash of Flash, has also been retained for performance and breeding duties. Jenny will be
bred back to Splash for 2010, which is slated to be her eleventh and final foal. She is such a sweet mare and
wonderful mother, but her body ultimately deserves a break.

Mar-Jon Schilling was purchased specifically to be bred to Phantom Bronze Knight. She is royally bred with
many halter and performance Champions and Champion producers in her pedigree. She has phenomenal
conformation and movement, with an abundance of ponytude. I look forward to the Section B foals she will

I first saw Galore's Splash of Flash the Fall of his yearling year at Hidden Valley Welsh. He was in a huge group
of yearlings, but was the only one who wanted anything to do with people. In fact, he kept coming over and
looking me in the eye, gladly accepting lots of neck scratching. The following Memorial Day, I returned to Hidden
Valley and found Splash locked in a stall with six other stud colts, knee deep in manure. He made his way over to
me and I decided I was not leaving without him again. When I got him home and got him clean up, I was truly
amazed how nice he really was. Aside from some major behavior issues during his first farrier appointment, Splash
proved to be incredibly easy to handle for a two year old colt with virtually no handling from birth. I took a ton of
flack for buying him, which I think was mostly prejudice against his breeder. When he hit the show ring and
started winning, opinions changed...quickly.

Splash descends from some of the most tried and true American Section A bloodlines...Liseter and Dandardel. His
paternal granddam was the simply exquisite and multi-Champion
Liseter Gladness. I have been told by many who
knew her that she was simply the most beautiful pony they'd ever seen. As a broodmare, Gladness produced many
foals who shined in the show ring just as she did.
Liseter Carnelian, Splash's grandsire, was another extremely
consistent producer, siring many Champion Welsh and Hunter ponies on the East Coast.

On his dam's side, Splash is linebred
Farnley Sea Urchin. Sea Urchin was one of several outstanding chestnut
stallions used by the late JD Orear to produce his trademark chestnut Dandardel ponies. Sea Urchin can be found
in the pedigrees of many of today's top Section A ponies, including our own
Madoc Pippi Longstocking, who is a

Splash loves having a job. He is doing well under saddle and is just beginning a career in pleasure driving. He is
obviously well-loved by me and all who know him as well. I look forward to many more years with my beloved
"Beast," his offspring and future offspring.

I had begun a search for a Section B stallion in 1999. Finally in 2003,
Phantom Bronze Knight came into my life.
I had seen HORRID photos of him for several years. My friend Lisa Shelabarger of Whispering Ridge Welsh
purchased Knight from Canada to use for one breeding season on pedigree alone. He would be for sale when Lisa
had settled her mares. I drove up to North Dakota to see if Knight really was what I was looking for. Lisa insisted
he was infinitely better than any photos I'd seen. When you tour Whispering Ridge, it takes several hours to see all
the ponies. Knight was the last pony on the tour. Instantly I knew he was the one! Not only has Knight sired
gorgeous and athletic foals for me, he has proved to be a true gentleman and pocket pony...a true joy to own!

Galore's First Edition was born three days before Splash came to Ponies Galore! I arrived at the barn about 8
PM to check on Shadow before heading to work for a night shift. I opened my car door and heard Shadow
whinny. She was waiting at her stall door for me. She was in labor with one tiny hoof already visible. I waited for
the second hoof and it didn't come. I don't remember what made me react, but I immediately went in and
readjusted the second hoof. Before I knew it, I had a huge bay colt in my lap. My VERY FIRST foal! He has
been "Mama's baby" ever since. He is an incredible animal in mind and body, and knows it. He tends to be very
adamant about receiving attention from me and enjoys being scratched immensely. He sired three fabulous foals
before I had him gelded to focus on his performance career. Timing continues to get in the way of his public
performance debut. Hopefully we will finally accomplish that goal in 2009.

Galore's Talladega Knight arrived in my lap and I was truly amazed how much he resembled his dam, Galore's
Fifth Avenue
when she was born. He has the pedigree, type, movement and temperament to be a huge asset to
the Welsh World and my own breeding program. I look forward to training Tally and watching him grow. This
special colt's first foals will arrive in 2011.
